my donation to my club
hi guys
got asked the other week ago if i would donate a pen or 2 ( slight catch had to be top end or look like it kit ) as for part of our majour raffle drawn in november
first prize is going to be a proper rocking horse with my pens as second prize and a bowl by another member 3rd
so after a week of looking through my blanks again and again i finally decided to cut down a small block of red mallee ( ill get 4 blanks from it ) there i have it matching blanks
decided on getting some roman harvest kits 1 fountain , 1 rollerball to put them on and also decided i needed a presentation box as well so i got a great case from timberbits 3 Pen Case - Burl Exterior
finished with the usual 20 coats of CA then m/mesh and then burnishing cream
first pic is natural light 2nd is with flash on as well then some pics in and out of the case

Really top end pens there Troy. You cant beat 20 coats of CA on genuine Red Malley Burl. Like the pen box too. I wonder if David is making these ?. I'd say not, as he is totally flat out getting his new distribution / shop up and running. Anyway, I reckon your pens should have been 1st prize
I never forget anything I remember !!

Troy,
They made a good job better, ie the Pens, the timber and the boxes.
Did you receive my two E Mails dated 29th and then 1st of this month. recently put a lot of time into them, spent yesterday and today in Hospital looking forward to being out of emergency and into my quiet bed.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum

Beautiful pens Troy and yes the Red Mallee is a great timber to make pens out of and still remains one of my fav's if not the favourite timber I like to use.
You have certainly done yourself proud with the pens for raffle prizes they are certainly well worth winning
Cheers Ian
