Drill Bit Selection
Have you had that annoying moment after you've drilled a blank and found out the brass tube doesn't fit?
You're not alone. I've have a few customers commenting on that issue so I made a very short video to help explain.

thanks for the tip david
i did notice also on your video that the blank vice you are using is putting a lot of pressure on the blank, judging by the look of the amount pressure required to close the jaws on the blank
you could also find with this type of clamp that you are putting tooo much pressure on the blanks which have just been reduced to 10 maybe 15% of their initial volume, loosing their strength/structure and being pushed out of shape by the external pressure from the clamp
when using a clamp on the drill press i have one that screws together and very little force is required to hold the blanks in place due to the V shaped groves on either jaw of the clamp
just my 2 cents worth, but worth considering
all the best

I have had this occur on occasions. Now I have an old chain saw file in my kit and use that to just expand the hole enough for the tube to slide in with comfort.
Up to date to the best of my knowledge there have been no problems.
