Expensive Blank
G'day peeps, I spent a fortune on this blank it's a very rare timber and incredibly hard to source, but I did it. The kit is a Timberbits Jr Gent RB and the blank is Spalted Garden Stake from the big green shed. lol
Bloody looks good though.

Very nice pen but why spend a fortune at the green shed when you can buy them cheap at Masters

It really just goes to show you that you don't really have to spend a lot of money on pen blanks if you just look around you never know what you might find
well done I love it

I shop at the big green shed for mainly jarrah.
They have a heap of small lengths suitable for slimlines etc
I usually spend 15-20 minutes picking thru what the have.
Cheap as.

Great find! Not sure what this shed is, or if it's in your backyard, but the blank came out great!
Once found a shipping pallet behind a local big chain store that yielded roughly 50 pen blanks worth of nicely spalted white oak......hmmm, might need to drive through that spot again?

great pen and great thread title
and knowing those pen blanks Bunnies sell, you'll probably get more than one pen out of it
I was looking at their cyprus garden pickets yesterday but decided I had enough cyprus for the time being, but it was all nice and knotty and gnarlyregards
