    Default Expressions of Interest

    G'day fellow addicts,
Berea have recently released a new style of kit in the Sierra range they are
Black Titanium/Platinum in Mother of Pearl or Green Abalone
Black Titanium/ Titanium Gold in Mother of Pearl or Green Abalone
Platinum in Mother of Pearl or Green Abalone
The kits come complete with the blank and the tubes already glued in the blank the Mother of Pearl and Green Abalone is incased in a clear resin. These kits are however not intended for the beginner but for the experienced pen maker.
The kits will cost somewhere around $30 or $40 ea. I am placing an order with Berea on Friday night and expect to recieve them early February so anyone who is interested in purchasing a kit or two could you please let me know asap as the Berea factory in Taiwan is closing for chinese new year mid february so this is the last chance I have to order them until mid March. Due to the cost of these kits a deposit will be required for anyone ordering more than 3 kits. I have attached a pic of the pens I think you will agree they are spectacular. If you would like more information on the kits here is a link to the Berea page that contains the kits.

Yeah but that site is in US dollars and Froggie is talking in AUS dollars plus by the time you add on postage and duty they end up at about that price

I am now able to give a firm price on the kits and it is in Australian Dollars.
I think you will find if you convert their price to Aussie Dollars and add a little for postage they are quite reasonable.

They do look nice, but somehow they don't take my fancy.

It strikes me as sorta like a traditional cabinetmaker going out and buying high-end flat packs, you know?

Now if they were selling the abalone or MOP blanks...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Want? Not especially. I'll have to go hunting some up soonish though, as I break 'em up for inlays and I'm pretty sure my bag is empty.

We have ordered a small amount of each kit anyway to see how they go,
and wouldnt it be a bugger if they didnt sell cos then I would have to make them for myself.

As if that would bother an addict like me.

Can't say I particularly like the Sierra kits, but the blanks are interesting. If you can't sell the kits as is, I (& others) might be interested in the blanks for other pen types.

    Good luck anyway.

I do believe that sometime in the near future the blanks will be available for other pens but not at this time. Sorry Toni they are the only pics available to me.
