Facebook Pages
Hi all
Well i have noticed that quite a few of us have got facebook pages for our woodwork so i thought it would be good to have a thread where people could post links to there pages to get some extra "likes" and to just have a bit of a stick beak at what other people are doing
So ill go first, but i will say i havent been doing this for very long and have only just made the page 2 days ago

Just a warning for you new fellows I received a Spam email this morning (not my first) relating to "Your FB account has been closed etc etc...You'll need to sign back in via etc etc"
Check by signing in normally first, then delete the spam email if you ever get it.
On another note check ALL your settings in FB for security and whom and how they see you and your pages.

Hey everyone
Just a reminder that when you're spreading the love and liking each other's pages, make sure you are using your page's profile to do so, not your personal profile. That way, when people visit one of our woodturning pages, they will see links to the others.
For example, when you load my woodturning page you will see the other pages there that I have liked (when acting as my page not my personal profile). That way when people visit my site, they will see yours too.
To do things in Facebook as your page rather than yourself, go to your page using a desktop computer (or desktop version of Facebook on a mobile browser), and under the Edit tab, you can choose to act as yourself or act on behalf of your page.
If you like something while acting as your page, these pages will be visible on your Facebook woodturning page (ideal).
Simon.

Hey all,
Here's my page. I put up a pic of my completed pen swap pen on there already so if you're my swap partner no peeking . I posted in the turning area but thought I'd share in here too with the warning above.
(I think I'm pretty safe, he hasn't made many posts in here so fingers crossed )
CorbsIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

hello everyone
been looking at everyones face book pages
thinking i might travel down the same road
only i have a few questions on how potential customers are buying them
i guess if someone like one of your products the contact you via the page or email
does one post the price for the pen with the pic? or do you tell them later
how does the customer make payment ?
what type of acc do you use or do you like thru paypal ?
what about postage, do you factor that into the price or is that an added extra ?
or do you link it all to a web site, and all potential customers go thru that ?
thankyou in advance for any feed back
cheers Tony
