Chrome, though the design and shape of the pen is not my favorite, your sanding and finishing technique is brilliant especially with clear casting. Your technique of painting the tubes and then casting in clear resin, I cant recall anyone trying that before and would love to see it extended to the likes of Sierras, Cigars, and larger types of pens. I like what you are doing and will watch the progression. Well done and keep going.

    Cheers

Top stuff Chrome, and Darren i "think" this is kind of the way Les does his decal pens. Turn > seal > decal > cast > re turn > finish. I do agree tho right onto the tube is innovative, excellent stuff.

Les in his Pronghorn Sierra he says he turned some Curly Maple and sealed it then laid the decal down, seal then cast. You can see with Chrome's pen the texture of the paint on the tube then it is clear cast.

It looks to me like he has actually turned an 'inner blank' down to slightly under size, then painted that, then cast it in resin.
    I never forget anything I remember !!

This should help to sort out the conjecture...
