My old Favourite Huon Pine Burl
Made it fatter, kept the centre band cause I make pens I like. This and my previous pen are part of ensembles to yet be published here.
I can use whatever finish but as last one au natural, dead smooth, pic to take out flare all round note the gold fittings.
Much fun new methods and machinery etc. By this the other parts not shown the Dremels went missing one died the old sleeve bearing one, I used my new lathe set up as well. Over the years I have bored everyone with tech detail so no more will be said how already covered many times.
Looking for more time in the shed but fourty frosts in a row seems like brr.
Enjoyed a visit with my three eldest one from Perth , one from Brisbane the third from
America now down to one from America for another two weeks.
I can recommend the Movie Brave it stirred up the ancestral Scottish name family in us all. Payback to our kids who have all given us grey hairs etc very bonding. Outstanding examples of how we as kids respond to parents and life sometimes getting a second chance.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum

A beautiful pen
Made by a Master whom I have followed over my time on this forum site. You say that "Over the years I have bored everyone with tech detail " , but these details have help me and I guess many other to make better pens. I take this time to thank you for that.

Very nice. Only time I like Huon is when it has eyes like that. Well done.

Beautiful pens Peter and great shapes make them unique. Huon Pine is by far my favourite timber.

Peter that looks good enough to eat!!
Like the others, I am always impressed by your craftsmanship, and as I have said before', your abilty to take the humble slimline/ streamline kit and turn it into something special is admirable.

Well, another masters piece to be sure. Your pens are always interesting and unique. I must give the CA finish a rest, and do some au-natural pens using EEE and Shellawax + Traditional Wax. The finish and feel of these pens is wonderful. Thanks Peter
I never forget anything I remember !!
