Default Fed up with the method used.

DSCF9613.jpgDSCF9608.jpg Fed up with the three spokes dictating to me when drilling blanks and invariably just on exit the spoke is out of comfort holding. The spokes were always undoing and used locktite at the finish. Any way I tracked down a car steering wheel, interfaced a three step aluminium pulley. milled the pulley to fit where the spokes were. Drilled tapped and bolted the whole thing up.

The orchestra waits for the Harp player to be seated so like them I waited till I finished and will clean up on Monday. The wrecker guy gave me the wheel that had a lot of spacers etc on it so I made him a braided fibreglass cast pen,he was over the moon and so am I. My camera battery nearly failed so no focus I guessed that in the dark, happy the pics came out OK.

Been thinking about this for years you know one day tasks.

    Peter.

Hope it works out. Many people with the Bosch drill have done exactly the opposite and replaced the wheel with a three spoke unit
