    Default Felting Needle Punch

One of a series of varying sizes in felting needle punches,This one made from Wild Olive, the need was to be able to hand hold the punch that is a felting needle that has reverse barbs, these barbs push items such as hair into cloth doll heads etc. These earned top brownie points with SWMBO an avid cloth doll maker. Default Handy Handles

I have seen something similar done with an "un-picker", if that's the right term. My wife is a seamstress, and is always complaining that the commercial ones have small diameter plastic handles which are difficult to get ahold of, so I have been meaning for some time to grab one of hers and fit it with a longer/fatter handle. Perhaps I could use one of those beaut Brown Mallee Burl blanks you provided, Pete! Anything for brownie points...

If you search the general forum for "something for SHMBO and her friends" or the like, posted by me, Touchwood, you'll see pics of the unpickers I have made with a bit of a how to do. Gave them to my Yr 12 students as end of year gifts and they went down really well!

Great - thanks, JD. Your "how-to" will undoubtedly save me some futzing around.

hopefully you all will be placing little ads complete with pictures in local crafts magazines advertising a whole range of kit, including pin cushions (i will try to do a pic of one that i have which is over 100 years old, also large handled quick'n'picks would be brilliant. Come to think of it there are many things like button punches (don't know if that's its real name or not) and the like.
