I like that find very much ... I understand your feelings here ...

One of the fellows I work with lives, 'out in the boonies' and in an area not too well populated. He is always hauling 'found timber' home to burn. I've been found a few times digging through his pickup bed see what is there. Now he's kind enough when he sees something I may like to set it on the hood of my truck

I do like your tagline ... been my moto ever since I said "I DO" ...

I got to practice that yesterday ... Since the wife has had two surgeries this year already any and all extra $$$ has gone to support those non-profit doctors.

Yesterday I found this normally $89 - Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices on sale for $59 and I had a 20% off coupon so it was $47.20 out the door.

Amazing what you fellas down there will burn to stay warm. I'd like a shot at one of your wood piles some day. Beautiful pen, Sam.

First thats a very nice pen, with an incredible finish, second I have question, is the wipe on Poly you use a very thin poly I'm not sure if you would know the brand but up here we have a brand Minwax. The viscosity is pretty thin and takes about 2 to 3 hours before you can re coat, I have sen a wipe on poly gel, which I wonder if any of you gent's have used or seen.
    Thanks
    Ken

    Hi Ken

It is Minwax that I am using and on good sunny days can do another coat in 20 - 30 minutes. I always leave the blank at least 24 hours after the final coat before finishing. I just follow Les's tutorial loosely. The last couple of coats I make about half WOP and half turps. I use a camel hair or equivalent artists brush to apply the finish and always make sure I lay off at the end of each coat. I have never seen the gel you mentioned.
