    Default Fire wood

This is a pen made from a lot of fire wood for the wood fired oven, The pen will go to the property owner who donated the timber. I think the timber is blackbutt.

The kit is a copper a Sierra from Beartoothwoods the finish is 20 coats of WOP and PlastX polish

Timber came from Martins Creek NSW

Great looking pen Sam, amazing what you can find in the firewood pile

I like those 2 tone Copper Sierra kits from BTW, it has certainy brought out the colours in the timber.

Great fit and finish, you haven't lost your touch yet Sam, well done, great to see you getting back in to it.

The WOP finish does a great job on a pen.

Things must be tough when you gotta scrounge through the firewood heap to make a pen
. Just kidding hehe ! lovely bit of workmanship and a nice pickup, I have a firewood heap and no fireplace lol, guess they will have to be pens in the end cheers ~ John

    Hi Sam

That's a great looking pen. Great save from the firewood pile.

Like others have said before, its a really good colour combination. I am sure the recipient would be very grateful of your gift.

    Thanks for sharing.

Very nice Sam ... I love what I call 'toss away wood' ... found in the fire pit or wood pallets for shipping etc ...

Excellent work Sam, the WOP is still one of the best looking finishes around when its done properly like that.
