Flame Sheoak
Having fun with shapes.Never ending changes in colour and grain while cutting,on my list as a deceptive hard species, now have a collection by Oak name,Bull Oak,French Oak,American Oak etc,one day will do a series how the name used commonly may not tie them genetically,on the other hand who cares.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning! You have a fine touch for turning and a knack for bringing out the most in timbers. Nicely done!
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Peter, Beautifully done, there is a contrast in the colour of the wood on top and bottom, is that camera or intentional. Amos

The timber both x cut side by side when twisted the pen has a dark top side on one half the side in the pic,the top varies in colour on the way through, like x cut variations.

Peter a very nice visual effect in creating the tiger stripped Flame she Oak. It never stops amazing me the colour and paterns created if you dare to be different in the cutting of your timber.
