    Default Flame Sheoak Pen

    Hi,

Swapped a few blanks with a mate yesterday and included
was a "Flame Sheoak". Coincidentally I purchased some
EEE Shellawax yesterday and tested them both out.

I am happy with the results - suppose that's what counts!

    Comments welcomed.

    Allan.

Allan nice clean lines to the Flame She Oak, I like it alot. Hairy Oak is mistakenly called the same thing. Beautiful grain to the piece that you have turned.

    Allan,
That is a wonderful piece of wood. I have a couple of those blanks that I have been reserving...just might have to break one out.

    Cheers,

Thanks for your comments fellas and nice to hear
from Rick (for the first time I think) in U.S.A.

Amos, I did use Shellawax as a polish after sanding
to 2,000 grit and a dose of EEE. It looks great and
feels better than some of my previous efforts.

Having a good day today. I was on the ride-on mowing
the paddock when my next door neighbour interrupted
me. He wanted 15 pens with "Australia" on the clip to
give to his visiting relatives. They go back to Italy in
two weeks time. I had 10 on hand so will make a few
more in the next couple of days.

Nice to hear from "Dean" and "Old Dog" too - thankee.

    Allan
