My first fountain pen
There is a guy who has collected quite a few of my pens. He asked me to make him a fountain pen for his collection.
Here it is , a Jr Gent in Hairy Oak with CA finish.

My photography isnt the best, sorry. I am also struggling with the CA finish, I was previously using the lacquer dip method, but have been told CA is much more durable, so I have been trying to master this type of finish.
Been a bit hit and miss so far, though I seemed to have lucked it with this one.

Hey Ironwood,
Looks good to me, , You have done well. The finish and fit are really neat.
My first Fountain pen, was assembled and taken inside to show LOML, and when she put the cap back on the grain didn't line up, so I went back to the shed and pulled it apart and and relined the grains, then I found out that the threads were 4 start
I like the look of the Kit I might have to get a couple.

Don't you just love a first!
Looks very well done Ironwood!
Good choice of plating to complement the timber.
Fits and finish look excellent.

Very nice job. I am also new at using CA. I like the end product. I have had to sand some pens back to the wood and try again. I think I am getting it down now.

Thanks Guys, glad you like it.
The recipient picked it up yesterday, judging from the size of his smile, he was happy with it also.
