Default Fountain pen nibs. Changeable? How? Where?

I have made a few pens for a friend who happens to be a long time collector of fountain pens. The pens I made were Sedona kits. He wants to know if the nibs can be upgraded to perhaps a wider or a different shaped nib.

Now, I know that there are a number of different nibs available, but do they fit the Sedona kits? Are they easily changed? How? Where do I get them?

    TIA

The best person to ask would be David from Timberbits he is the supplier of most of our kits

    Thanks for that Mad Dog.

I was going to say that your advice is excellent but there is nothing on Timberbits website

    BUT after another look

    I will say

Thanks again for you excellent advice , but there is not very much on Timberbits' website.

Still, David is probably about the best one to ask about this.

I don't know the Sedona, but I do know that most US supplier/manufacturers have different sizes available for their kits. Look on the US sites and you'll probably find them. Aussie suppliers may well be able to get them in too. OK, looked it up, and from memory it looks like a CSUSA kit. The size of nib is available in different sizes, and also I think in solid gold nibs as well. You may not find them with the same section though. If not, then you can remove the nib from the section and change it over without too much trouble usually.
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Avery I think you missed something on the Timberbits site. David sells Bock Nibs in 5 and 6 mm sizes. The 5mm nibs will fit the Sedona. So if your friend wants to change the nib, any 5mm nib should work. But I'm no expert.

    5mm Bock Nib

There is also a video on how to change the nibs under the 6mm Bock Nib. Just scroll to the bottom of the page.

    Thanks for the replies.

I guess I may have been less specific than I should have.

The guy that wants different nibs has very specific requirement for both size and shape to suit the writing that he does. I think I will need to go back to him and get some more details about what he wants.

    Thanks again for the replies.

Are you able to detail here what the specific requirements are?

Any size 5 nib will fit the Sedona nd if he does a web search there are many places that will re grind nibs to suit what the user wants. Bock, Heritance and Meister nibs are excellent
