Nice work John. Hard choice to pick out of those but if I had to, I would choose the Cambridge. Nice pen and beautiful timber. The Victor is a lovely looking pen and would have been my choice but I prefer the timber finishes but nevertheless great work.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Yep the cambridge kit is as good as any, The green was not my choice but a customer request . The Burmese teak was a surprise though ,seemed greasy somehow to work, but the pattern was outstanding, I do like the rib fruited malley .also the brown malley and red malley, vasticola burl as well hehe, in fact almost any wood that is not just plain and no figure. cheers ~ John

They look just as nice on this forum as they do on the other. They look farther away on this one though.

Fountain Pens
Hey John,
Very Very nice, I really like Fountain pens, the price of the kits sort of frightens me a bit, when you sell then do you use the Three times cost principle?? if so you are looking at some pretty expensive pens.
Back to the Point, They are all very impressive.

Hazzab ! My prices are what I can get for them without too much haggling , my main payment is in the pleasure I get from making and being able to share with others. I can't afford to give them away ,but that being said when people at the markets ask the price and I mention say 100 dollars ,they quickly move on hehe, I have sold a Majestic for $300 no problem, but it was a very special material ,jewellery quality black coral, another more simple "designer" style for $250 in the same material. In reality my most profitable items are slims at $20 and bullet pens at $35 ,others I look at kit cost material cost and at least double it and add a bit for overheads. Its the big picture I look at overall, and the pen sales have been kind to me ,last sunday sold 12 pens for a gross of $430 minus rent $32 .I am not a business man just looking for a fair return and a bit left over , the leftovers have allowed me to upgrade my lathe buy a heap of stock, kits and wood etc, a new powdercoating outfit from the us ,and all the other odds and ends I think I might need some time hehe.Short answer to pricing is you can be affordable and get turnover or pedantic and sit on expensive pens till they are antiques hehe. Cheers ~ John

Hey
Very nice pens
What finish is on the ebony?
Is the ebony from Briswwws?
The reason for the questions is that I made 2 Sierras (posted) then had them in my Leather display pouch for about 10 days. When I opened it one day the 2 Ebonys had fatally split, hope you go ok.Lindz
It's only a foot long, but I don't use it as a rule
