Thanks Plantagenon :-)
Thank you very much Plantagenon for the heads up on an alternative glue to CA as well as the tips. I sure do appreciate it.

Hey guys. Here's some VERY good info on the subject from Marc Spagnolou AKA the Woodwhisperer. Dust, Fumes, and Respirators | The Wood Whisperer

Just spotted this and as Justin said I have somehow become sensitive to CA fumes so much so I can not even use it to fill small holes now in anything. Epoxy for that or call LOML. I am looking for a good glue for tubes so I can use
I think you'll find even with respirator you'll still have the same problem if not more so as the fumes will find their way in with no escape. If a fart can get in then they can too.
I found out when doing 10 pen tubes just thought it was heat of the day fa was going garage door wide open till Sue opened the side door entry to indoors and I in hailed deeply nearly passing out with the fresh air. Only mask I was wear was a P3 it would not have mattered if I was wearing my spray mask. 2nd batch I started 2 tubes done that was it head spin stopped

Wheel
Try a positive air flow respirator availalbe from Carbatec for around $80. I use one and it stops most but not all fumes. It certainly stops the dust. Seems to be worth the money but its never gonna be as good as a dust extractor. Look in the earlier post on here for the Sika Poly glue as an alternative to CA

Thanks but have decided its not worth my health CA that is, will on occasions still use but never again more than a drop here and there.
Having used masks and then not long before I stopped, spray booths for auto and extractors in their early years of 2pac paint its still around when you walk outside or take the mask off.
Thanks for the glue tip will check it out.
I hope for you an air system works just be mindful fumes linger.

Wow I'm glad that I'm not the only one who does woodwork and sometimes gets a wobbly brain from fumes ect. Thanks everyone for the tips on avoiding CA fumes.
