i ike the wood but sorry the ridges don't cut it for me, everyone likes different things and i am sure someone out there just wont be able to put it down

looks like you had a great time turning all the little beads, bet it took a bit of sanding

    well done

    Thumbs up

Like the blank but not the top half of the pen. Sorry, personal opinion only.

What is immediately apparent to me is that it took a great deal of skill and time to turn that top half. Wonderful tool work there. And you just can't beat cocobolo for a timber. I think you will find a buyer for that pen with no difficulty.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Great tool work - I'm yet to acquire that level of skill (need more practise)
    Nice piece of wood
My taste goes to simple lines I'm afraid so it can only be one which I can admire for the work which went into it but not like as it is too much for me. But it might grow on me. Send it over so I can see.
No doubt it will be just the thing for that discerning customer.

Nice work and a great effort. I would rather see the top half of the pen more in keeping with the bottom half. I don't really think the fancy bits show off the lovely timber to its advantage. That is just my personal opinion and I realise that the top must have taken a lot of skill and time to do. Well done.
    Reality is no background music.

    Default Having fun

Very few experiences for me remain undone hence if I am in the mood at the time I pick up a few different tools and make beads etc. One day when in my teens I took the muffler of my motor bike and did a few laps around the place, quite fun dont feel the need to do that any more but I always enjoy fine lines scallops and beads on pens.
If you see a bead or lines or whatever on my pens they are there cause I wanted to.
This pen graces a Slim Note Book for me. Fits like a glove, great sales idea for everyone look around the corner an present your pens for a purpose, a mate of mine makes a spectacular box and pen for 120 dollars , couple things with things. My wife in her quilting groups every year made 2000 dollars when the annual exhibition came along on the sales table with her own small knick nacks, next year the copycats were out in force and made dozens of them, too late by a year.

    Enjoy Peter.

I normally like simple line but for some reason when I looked at this pen I liked it, maybe it is an appreciation of the skill gone into it.

    Well done
