Gemini...
Well, aren't these tricky little buggers to put together. You need to use the bush with the long insert to push one part deep into the pen then press another component in behind it. You also need to screw one component on while twisting the clip. Will be honest with you all and say I thought this pen was going to be the end of me...
now that its finished though I don't mind it. Quirky and definately not for everyone but here it is. I think over the top acrylics would go well on it but not sure how woods would look?
over to you for a fair and unbiased appraisal

Certainly an attention grabber on a stand hehe, I have done and sold a few of these, my wife has one in a white marbled acrylic ,I never had the right bushes when I did the first few ,and yes a bit tricky to calculate the correct depth It never ceases to amaze me what some people will go for hehe , cheers ~ John
G'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

I think that's a great looking pen!
The it will be very popular with the girls.
The blank matches the kits, very good combination.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice pen it is different and that appeals to many people so I do not think you should have any trouble selling them.
I agree that the acrylic does match nicely but I do think with the right timber it would look just as goodCheers Rum Pig

Corbs well done look good with the choice of acrylic.
I have the pen and pencil kit to do and you now have me shacking in my boots they are a good looking kit.
I have some Olive which might go well or some other timber which is pinkish or Jacaranda what do you think

Wheelin, give it a go in your woods and see. I would be interested in seeing them made in wood but personally think the over the top colours in acrylics suit the squiggles & bumps. As for which, Olive, Jacarandah or pinkish I don't know sorry
If you don't like how they look in the wood, you could always turn it down and start again. I wouldn't recommend fully putting the pen together prior to deciding if you like it or not though as one of the inserts ends up nearly in the middle of the tubeIt's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

That is one outstanding pen.. Absolutely love it. you have inspired me to start looking at acrylics myself.
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it
