Getting back into the click of it
Well after a few set backs earlier in the week it was back into the shed yesterday and today. I had to order some stuff from gpw the other day so treated myself to some Longwood Clicks. I have been after a good click pen for work for a while as the Pen 9s seem to stick and the Sierras werent to flash either. They are so easy to turn and fit. The first is a pink camo (definately not for work) with copper finished with mm and polish. The next is a rosewood with natural shellawax finish (may redo this one). Pen feels nice to write with so fingers crossed, now just need a good blank for a work pen!
While I was there the last photo is a small Jarrah bowl (18cm) with huon pine inserts. It was a project to test out my new cole jaws.

Hi Sturina, I like both pens + the bowl. When, on the rare occasions I do a 'natural' looking (non CA) pen, I give a couple of final coats of Traditional Wax over the Shellawax finish. It really does make a huge difference to the feel & look of the pen (or bowl) and makes the finish last longer. You apply the Traditional wax using friction heat with a soft piece of flannelette cloth. Basically, you cook the wax into the wood. Really an amazing feel & finish to the wood !!!!
