Another Ghost
Another pen from the other half of the Stabilized White Oak Burl. Unreal colour and markings. Comments and critique welcome.

Darren nice fit and pen, That not a CA finish is it? Just seems a bit flat the shine. Not knocking it though.

G'day Darren,
I think you said it best with "unreal color and markings". Very sweet pen.
Cheers,

Darren that is a unique colouring, I think if you have enough of that wood, it would look good in a Sierra Titanium Gold, Amos

From my observation the appearance of the pen rivals most pics I have seen of antler etc,I do reckon the way you experiment gives us a boost to our own imagination, got my BOW big pack today,do tell of your successes with drying as timber is decidedly misrepresented as air dried, should read air wet,all in all quite beautiful. There are very delicate horns in Kenya and a mate is trying to get some later in the year when he visits.Colours are deep browns and blacks, will make the first from the carved ebony I keep on buying at 5.00 each, they are are intricate, some conversation pieces to have, found my cache of African Blackwood to do the job.
Take care Peter

Toni it is a CA finish like any others that I do, only used an over head light source and no side lighting. Didn't get the tripod out so it was just a hand held shot. Don't know maybe because of the timber and it lightness that it doesn't show the finish. Peter my have the answer, as his photograpy skills make mine pale with my amature attemps.
Everyone thanks for the kind words. Amos I was tending to go with Black Ti for what I have left, I wish I had a Bright Copper kit, I think that would make for an interesting contrast.
Peter your generous words that you write are a boost to my soul, and other things you do humble me sir. I don't feel I am doing anthing special, I am just giving back to nature what our creator gave us. It is the greatest joy to be able to bring a tree back to life
