    Default Gold Leaf Engraving

    Hi all,

Just made a couple of Sedona fountain tip pens out of ebony and holly for a wedding set. I thought it would be nice to engrave their names in the pens as well. My mate is a jeweler and can engrave the pens for me, but I want to match the engraving to the pen kit colour gold. I was thinking about using gold leaf in the engraving then CA over the top.

Anyone done anything like this before, or have any tips?

    Cheers
    Shoey

you can buy a gold paste that is usually put into the engraved letters then excess wiped off,you could CA over the top but not usually needed, check with Amos ,he does a lot of laser engraving and may have some suggestions , cheers ~ John
