Superbly turned and finished Peter. I have no doubt it will be well received.

Very nice. He will probably comment that its so old school, the PCB not the pen. When you think of the advancements in PCB design, from single sided wide tracked designs to now multi layer, highly miniaturized items.

In the late 1970's one of my work tasks was best described in this paragraph from History of Printed Circuit Boards - Rapid PCB I layed out the LetraLine tape and donuts at 4:1 then did the camera reduction on an Artiscope camera. I wish I had the vacuum pump from the camera platen now for a vacuum stabilizing chamber!

1960s -70’s – Boards were designed using 4:1, red-and-blue line vellum method for hand-taping components and tracks. A precision camera then produced the 1:1 negative manufacturing film. An experienced designer could layout and tape a board at the rate of about two hours for each equivalent 14-pin IC on the board.
