Beautiful pens John and a lot of colour. How do you manage to turn so many pens in one day.

Nice range of pens there john I can see what you mean by having a large selection of pens so you have plenty of variety for the markets and other things similar that you may attend
Great work
Cheers Ian

With the pens the prep work takes the most time casting ,drilling gluing trimming is where most time goes , the turning is easy, and to make it even easier I use my small metal lathe to turn between centres to size,then do the finishing in my woodfast, these are mostly simple one piece pens so don't take too long at all, the acrylics are the quickest of all hehe, I am still a bit slow on my CA finishes .but time is relative some will take longer than others , cheers ~ John

Yes John, great selection. ,
also we need to train ourselves to think correctly, when we select a blank-we are making a pen, when we drill we are making a pen, when we glue-we are making a pen, when we clean the tube of excess glue-we are making a pen, when we turn-we are making a pen, when we finish-we are making a pen, everything is that is done has one object in mind-making a pen. Therefore each thing we do requires our minutest attention, then will the end result be satisfying. I remember doing everything correctly then got sloppy in the pressing together and crack! all that good work wasted.
When you look at it as a whole, the "boring" work bcomes a work of art! AmosGood, better, best, never let it rest;

better, best.
