Hand made pen boxes
Hi All.
I get asked quite often about hand made boxes for hand made pens.
The editor of the Australia Wood Review saw some of my boxes at Bungendore Wood Gallery and asked if I could write a little article on how to make the boxes.
I am glad to write that the boxes made the front cover.
If you want make some small boxes for your pen, this article is a good starting point.
Let me know what you think of the article, as always suggestions and comments are always welcome.

I haven't even seen the Austrailian wood Review up this way so it would be nice if you would put it up as a tutorial for us to see on how to do it.
Cheers Ian

I forgot to say congratulations in my previous post a job well done indeed and can I also ask what is that lovely timber that the main box is made out of in that photo ?
the boxes really set off a pen and make it a complete gift.
Cheers ian

I read the article last night
I'd recognised the boxes as probably yours - was suspicious when I saw the cover
Nicely written article and congrats on being published

Very good David, now I won't buy off you I'll build them myself!! However, they will be out of square and triangle shaped , and filled with gap filler, and all that sort of wonderful personal touch!-- On second thoughts, you can make them-I think I'll stick to those little round things with ink inside, you know the things you actually put in the box!, Very well done and well deserved, congratulations. Well done David and to make the front cover you must be chuffed and rightly so
You will have to be carefully with all the extra sales generated they might ask you to be a regularCheers Rum Pig
