handy little items
I had these made up to make applying CA a bit easier. You know how the CA often sticks to the end of the blank and on rare occasions and the CA comes away with the bush and causes a small chip or fault on the end of the blank.
My brother-in-law made these for me out of stainless steel. They fit inside the blank and the CA covering the end of blank is no longer a problem. The last pic shows the cone pulled back from the blank, no CA anywhere.
The blank is a bolt action out of red cedar.
Pics are a bit out of focus however you get the idea.

I use Delrin/Acetal cones as when I'm finished applying the CA coating as there is a huge build up at the ends when you are applying thick coatings. It often sticks to the Delrin but would be worse for SS but I guess you could apply some spray Teflon, works well on my lathe
