    Default Help with finish

I have a cast with wood and resin, now after I turn it down to size how would I finish it. With resin I wet sand and with the wood I dry sand.
Now to finish of the wood I use WOP and with resin I use brasso.
How can I mix it up to give the best finish I can.

Dry sand until you're happy with the finish on the resin, taking care not to "hollow out" whichever material is the softer. You may have an issue with "contamination" from the resin if the wood's open pored, in which case I'd suggest either an NC sanding sealer or a flood-coat of CA on the timber sections first, to seal those pores. Then dry sanding.

To finish... [gasp!] CA. Once you've built up enough coats that there's no risk of "polishing through" you can lightly wet-sand and/or polish with Brasso as you would normally for resin.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Hey Skew that was almost painless mate lol. But the true professional you are and knowing your preferred method of finishing. You did not discount the use of CA.

Given the quality of finish our better pen-turners are managing with CA I'm almost tempted to revise my opinion of it.

    Almost...

Ok, who are you, really? And what have you done with Skew?
