    Default Hey True Blue

    Ladies and Gentlemen
Approximately 2 months ago, I was asked to turn a bullet pen in a nice timber, preferably something mallee like. Hmmm Okay. I tuned a bullet twist in Red Mallee Burl and was also asked to engrave 'Mallee Boy' on the cartridge. Sent it off in the mail to the customer and thought no more of it.

This week, I got a personal card and and an appreciative note regarding the pen, from John Williamson no less!!! What a gentlemen. I guess he gets given all sorts of things from all over the world, so I was extremely impressed by his gesture. For those O/S forumites, here is a link to the gentleman I was referring to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Williamson_(singer)

While I am in the bragging mood, I recently had the King of Malaysia purchase a Jarrah Burl Mirror that I had made. Didn't get a note from him though.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I had a shoulder re-construction last week so no Volleyball, No turning for 3, yes 3 Months. Need a really big sad face here, moderators??
    Cheers
    Willy

Sorry Tony, no photo as it was just another typically stunning WA Timber, they are so common here
(Do I need a VTIC or a smiley? How about an emoticon?

Fancy Willie Nelson making a pen for John Williamson

That means he now has a True Blue Pen for when he is On The Road Again

When the said John Williamson lived in Canberra inn the seventies I formed a good aquaintance with him and his beloved he was a muso at venues out of town and worked in a Camera Store in town, later I was a stringer for a pro photographic and was helping the studio build a huge endless background John was waiting around for pro pics to push his career and we worked together for a while on that project so many years later I have great memories of a multi talented great guy, John Williamson he has two feet firmly in the right place and is to me a living legend.

    Kind regards Peter.
