    Default My holidays

I'm still in denial about turning pens.
I'm really just dipping my left toe in.
But I've turned this six out over the last two weeks.
Pretty happy with them, lots of lessons learned.
And my wife has said she might collect pens[emoji849].

    Cheers Matt

    Hi Matt,
Nice work on the pens. Lovely finish both gloss and grain. What are the kits on the extreme left and the kit and blank on the extreme right. One on the right looks like would be quite at home in a Mad Max movie.
    Cheers,
    Mac

Matt, it is an evil disease!

    Good work on the pens.

Is the Princess pen for Sally or you?

    Mac my apologies,

My thread was a bit slack to keen to be a show off lol, going left to right.
    Vertex pen kit unknown burl
    Sieera pen kit unknown burl
Princess kit ( Not me for Sally I'm not aloud to be a princess)Banksia.
Next two are slim lines one is red gum the other again is unknown timber.
Last one on the right is a knights armour kit in Ebony.
All are finished with CA finish(superglue)
And a final coat of auto polish I've been using the the same 3M bottle for ages.
The unknown timbers come from the box under the lathe there my off cuts!!!!

    Hi Matt,
Thanks for that. King Arthur and the knights of the round table was my second choice.
I also believe the term " suck it up princess" to have been used by both genders.
    Cheers,
