A Humble Pine cone !
Tried to catch up on some casting yesterday as stocks of some items are non existant this came out of the pressure pot and I turned it up tonight , just might be a "keeper" hehe , it is a little darker in reality but lightened it up a bit to show more detail ,gun metal click vertex , pine cone cast in blue pearlex Cheers ~ John

Thanks Sam, I have done a few of these in hex on the vertex, I have made an adapter to hold a dremel in my C3 metal lathe and also a dividing plate ,works well ,but with the vertex they get awful thin in the wall thickness ,so a good chance to "blow it " hehe, I also have not as yet perfected a finishing method for hex blanks as you can no longer spin them to apply CA ,I have tried wipe on and dipping in Nitro cellulose ,even spraying with clear acrylic lacquer ,so far no decent results ,ah well another day and I will try again Cheers ~ John
