    Default Huon Lucida

This is the offcut from the same blank I used for the Professor pen.

Cheers Art, yes beautiful timber indeed.
With so many views and no comments, I was beginning to think nobody liked it.

    Sorry Brad,
I am one of those views without much to say....
I feel a 'like' doesn't cut it with your superb works and I often run out of witty comments ....

Amazing stuff as always and certainly doing our Aussie timbers justice!!!

Hey, no worries Gabriel. it was just a general comment and certainly not aimed at anyone.
Thanks for taking the time to comment and leave a message.

Birds Eye Huon Pine is one of my favorite timbers. It always looks special on a pen as pens need something with a lot going on to make them stand out. Looks great.

Cheers Mate. The good stuff is very hard to get, especially for us northerners. I have another 5 of these blanks, I got them off George who used to be a member here. I thought they were expensive at the time, but the quality is worth it, and when you see how much they are paying for very high quality blanks in the US, these were a bargain.

Yeah, I know what you mean there. It would be good if we could get this pen section of the forum back to what it was years ago. I am sure there are still plenty of people turning and making pens, just seems that nobody posts here much anymore.
