The timber could be some type of pine that grows easily the growth rings are not tight, mellow yellow colour,do not identify with the name, the kit as a kit Philistine used to Slimlines no knowledge, could show you ten timbers that look like that, you failed to say soft, hard, punky or describe it in any way.A pic is not enough for me to help.Did it smell in any way, splinter, easy to finish, heavy, light, from a board,a fruit tree, a branch, how is it cut, sawn.
In the next few months I will be removing a real lot of timber stored, some real exciting and no I will not reduce it to blanks but make it available. You can enjoy the breaking down your way, will cut some from logs stored in a shed for twenty years, top stuff, will not be able to identify some of it.

    Regards Peter
