I'm rather annoyed...
I finally finished the pens for Celt40 from the last swap. I didn't make a Dead Finish Baron like I had planned because of constant "difficulties" with the timber. Instead I made a Native Pine Sedona and a Figure Myrtle Baron.
I'd finished them and they were looking Schmiko, so I tells my ma to post them off tomorrow (today) and no later. Unknowingly, I didn't give her enough money to post it by air so she sends it by sea. Now they'll be another month or two late
Anyway...Here are the pens. My apologies to Dermot for taking so long to finish them, I hope you like them

Don't worry.
It is very rare these days that small parcels go by sea. Often the smaller ones still goes by air, but not priority air. It is a role of the dice. Most times it still gets there the same time as airmail, but sometime it takes weeks.
I could be wrong, but most of the stuff I send by sea takes less than 2 weeks. Especially now, because we are not in silly season (Christmas period).

Sea nail takes between 2 -3 months also dependent on where it goes. I recently sent 2 kg by air to the states and it took 13 days and that was registered took the same time for a parcel to come from CSUSA via USPS.

I send boomerangs all over the world all the time, via airmail. I once got one to the US in 3 days, and another to China posted before Christmas, arrived early February...

I normally don't reply in pen posts, but . . . Two things, good looking pens and FC, you should always know your costs first and then add a little more for your mum to have a cuppa and a bun, whilst she is doing you the favour.

Give the old bat a couple of good slaps around the ears, and tell her it is time she lifted her game!! If not, it's off to the saddest urine-soaking, kerosene-bathing, bread-and-water old peoples' home you can find.

Seriously, never rely on someone else to meet your own standards and deadlines. I learned that lesson a long time ago.... as long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.
