Great pens Michael. Like you, I have a terrible time with back and legs. A few weeks ago I went to my local foam and rubber shop to see what they had in "comfort "mats. Bought one that had bubble type nodules. Best $29 I ever spent. I have very little pain now. I priced some up to $100 but decided to try the cheaper one first
. Good luck
Shirley.

Shirley I already have foam floor mats in front of the lathe to stand on. Its been there for a year . I just cant stand longer than 10-20 mins before the legs go numb and I need to sit down for a while. I have also tried a high bar stool to sit on for the finishing
Neal the walnut turns ok but you need to keep your chisels sharp as it does tear easy & likes to break but well worth the effort
