Ironwood Sketch Pen
G'day Y'all,
I made the last of the three. This one is for the shop. I would say it is mine, but the missus likes to frequent the shop as well.

Rick
I have a piece of aussie iron bark with quilting I will make one of the piece you sent me and that in the next week.I really can not fault and love that pencil, will get the two piece kit rather than the one piece now.
Regards Peter
PS Today I bought the 20 mm conduit being an old Electrician I had enough tees and elbows to make the frame for my new light box.Got a 48 watt natural long life bulb from Bunnings and making it fit a 150 watt quartz housing and fit a new reflector in the housing. At an upholstry mate he gave me some car carpet pieces for the end less background of different colours,a piece of 1 1/2 inch solid type foam for the base. Will cut, measure, sorry measure twice cut once tomorrow the conduit, make the frame ,cut a 70 mm hole in the light fitting and mount the lamp and new reflector in it.I will take some pix for the forum to show the progress, would really like to kick the problems of quick pics of pens that are sharp, clear.
A long standing joke for photographers out of whack was called sentimentally soft, but I want to show some of the beauty of timbers and others more faithfully.A length of 20 mm conduit in plastic cost me today about 2.50 for 12 feet, cut it in half to shove in the car. The dearest thing so far was the lamp at 26.00 something,it gives the equivalant of 240 watts on a normal bulb at 5000 degrees kelvin colour temperature.Called natural.I will try to set it up on a small table so table, tent ,stool to sit on light on a stand, camera on a tripod, set the camera for 640 by 480 to save dumbing down the image at all.Take pics put tent in lounge( risk squeaky voice) be ready for 10 minute photo sessions in the future. I can dream cant I?

Thanks all for the compliments. I hope to get some use out of it before it disappears into the mysterious void also known as the purse.
Peter,
I look forward with great anticipation to seeing the pics of your light box.
Cheers,
Rick

Rick nice Sketch Pencil, the timber is fantastic as well as the finish. Did you take the photo? Just one thing try a light grey background with the same pen. Another fine one mate.
