Default Jnr Marshall in Honduras Rosewood Burl

    Hi All,

My first Jnr Marshall, very nice and simple kit for assembly. The timber is Honduras Rosewood Burl sanded through the grits to 600, 10 or so coats of CA, MM to 12000 before then using friction polish and finishing of using the Mothers Choice Chrome polish. Very happy with how it turned out.

    Cheers
    Tony.

Another very classy pen Tony. It's sometimes hard to get the lighting for your camera shot to display the highlights of the wood. You seem to have plenty of light in your pics, but the pens themselves seem very dark and it's a bit hard to distinguish the grain pattern in them. Maybe try moving the light source more toward the front and to the side of the pen so you don't get as much 'back light' in the shots. It's almost as much of a challenge to get a good pic of your work of art, as it is in making it in the first place ha ha.

Thanks for the photography advice, I have a bit of learning to do in that area as well. I am using a Cannon 450D which should, once I get the hang of it produce some nice photos, any advice always appreciated though

    Thanks

great looking pen tony the kit suits the blank nicely.

ive found HRB a very hard timber to photograph everything thats going on in the blank
but recently bought a cheap lighting tent with lights from ebay, which i think gives pretty good results.
