Jnr. Statesman Gold Leaf
Decided to give the Gold Leaf purchased from Exotic Blanks a go,I was amazed at how exciting this blank looks in the finished condition; Painted the tubes black, inside the blanks black and tinted the epoxy black. Turning was fairly straight forward, except you pray that all goes well with a blank of this value!
I hope you like also, Amos

Gee Amos, you've been busy lately. This pen is spectacular in every way. The extra effort you put in to painting the tube etc has paid off. Where did you get the pen kit from ?, very classy !.
I actually have a bit of shed time myself today, in between taking my Grand daughter to the circus. Cheers.

Beautiful looking blank and pen there Amos
I have a heap of gold and silver leaf from Thailand, and was thinking of giving casting them a try, just not sure it's just not better buying them made. I'm thinking there is probably a lot of learning to get the blanks looking that good, leaf is so fragile.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

As for the finish, it is just micromesh right through to 12000, then car polish, Neil, I have just learnt that these are not genuine gold leaf, it is metal coloured to look like gold, if you have genuine gold leaf I need to be talking with you. Amos

Amos,
I have a watch I bought in 1985 not gold still looks great watch and band, although all that glitters is not gold who cares if the quality of my watch and your pen blank come out as flash as a rat with a gold tooth. The colour of gold is not restricted to the mining industry.
Just very impressed with your pen all round and about, NEVER UNDERSELL THAT PEN>
The same care was given as any other top quality product.
Give it a motza price it deserves one.
Kind regards Peter.Nil Desperandum
