Ian the fit looks spot on to me, but the clarity of the pic deminishes when I zoom in on it so I am only commenting on what I can see from the pics as posted. At the end of the day you are the one that has to be happy with the fit and experimenting with others methods (I do it all the time) is the best way to find what works for you as you attempt to achieve the best fit possible. Good stuff my friend good stuff indeed.

Thanks mate I am happy with it just wanted some feed back and I got some for u and Darren on Facebook I do like this way of turning the pen down ;-) thanks my friend for sharing ur way

Not really my way Ian as I borrowed it from others who use the method, and though it is the method I use most now there are still times that I use Freds bushes and other times an adjustable mandrel with a saver. However I am always willing to share the little knowledge I have as most of it came from someone else sharing it with me.

Looks really good. Do you put a small bevel down to the metal? For the finish sand down to what, and do you apply a polish or is it just what you get off the micro mesh? Looking forward to trying the blanks you ent but am getting some cheap commercial acrylics to practice on.

Hey Michael

Thanks mate nah I just turn it down to about 1mm to 0.5mm of the finish size and then sand the rest off and keep checking with my calipers till I am happy and then polish and assemble. Cool cant wait to see them done D I would try some PR blanks rather then acrylic to practice on as they turn different well thats my opinion anyway ;-)
