Jr Gents?
Now I know I can get Jr Gents from GPW and Jim with a threaded end bit for $20 or so. And I can get the Jr Gent without a threaded end bit for $32. See $32 is ridiculous when I should be able to get them for $10 cheaper.
So where can I get Jr Gents without a threaded end cap for less than at Carba-tec?

Order direct from craft supplies in the US. Have to order a few kits to make postage economical, but they give quite generous discounts for bulk (10+ of any combination of kits). Last order I did was for about a dozen kits of various styles and postage worked out to about AU$2 per kit.

CSUSA says that you need to specify whether or not you need the postable cap when you order, but there is no mention of a price difference. Don't know how bad the postage would hurt, but the prices look to be a bit lower than what you're mentioned here.
10k Rollerball $7.99
Titanium Rollerball $12.50
Rhodium Rollerball $13.80
Black Titanium Rollerball $13.99
10k Fountain $12.99
Titanium Fountain $17.99
Rhodium Fountain $17.85
Copper Rollerball $9.99
Black Titanium Fountain $17.50
Copper Fountain $14.99

If you bought one of each would be US$139.59
at today's exchange rate approx 82cents would be about AUD $168.31
then there's freight
might still be competitive to get from CSUSA

I stock the Baron in Gold or chrome. Which is threaded at the top for the cap.
This pen is the same as the Jnr Gent.
I retail this pen for $12-00 each for roller ball and $14-00 for fountain pen.
These are Berea hardwood kits.

See, now this is what I mean - not one of my searches for Aussie pen suppliers came up with these guys - who knows who else out there, possibly just down the street, who has the stuff you want.
As for your pens Funky, with the Aussie $$ dropping like a rock, if you want any stuff from the states, you either better get in quick, or be prepared to wait & see if the $$ goes up again.
Finally, this is a perfect time for some entrepreneurial person to invent a bunch of Aussie styles and market them to the rest of the world. Let's start exporting our own quality stuff, instead of having to import it all the time. Any venture capitalists out there listening ? :0
Sorry, can't help much with the original question.
Russell.
