    just finished a jr victor , wrapped in some of my cross cut south african black locust .
    i am getting addicted to this cross cut caper , makes for a lot more interesting blank in some cases.

    Wow that is a nice looking pen.
    I aways get worried about splits in the pith when using a cross cut across the centre.

    Now that is a spectacular blank. Turned very well too... Would have been entertaining to turn as I imagine it would be quite fragile.

    That is a KEPPER....
    I have tried som cross grain and half cross grain in some Camphor Laurel with some specee results ... sorry no pics as I don't have the pens any more
