    Default Jr Victor She-oak Cast

I had some trouble with this one. The first cap barrel I turned, cracked the resin when I pressed the hardware in, I had to glue up another and replace it.

This time I reamed the tube so it was a better fit.

Hey, thanks everyone for the nice comments.

I think the finial really sets the pen off, it was actually an afterthought, glad I went to the trouble because it made a big difference to the look of the pen.

Thanks John. This one took a bit more work than it should have, but I got there in the end.

I got a bit sidetracked with the photography quest, I am fairly happy with my pen photos now, even though I am still making minor tweaks now and then.

The last few weeks I have started to get back into the penturning (and now casting), feels good to be making pens again.

That is a quite a stunning pen.

If you get a million for the pen it will still not be the most expensive pen in the world. But then again a hobby is after all a way of getting a break from thinking about work too much.

Beautiful work Brad. The end piece on the cap is phenomenal.
