    Default Kit differences

    Hi,

Am wanting to try a different kit. Can anyone tell me the difference between Sierra and Executive Sierra as sold by the wonderful Timberbits?

    Thanks in advance.

    hiya Todd

if you have a look at the pickies you will notice that the Siera has a rounded top and the exec has a flat top, apart from that they use the same drill and bushings

    i hope this helps

    Thanks MIK.

Hard to compare on ipad. Thought there may have been a difference in quality of thread or coating.

    Thanks for your comments.

" PRICE" The Sierra's I use all the time are the flat top ones but my suppliers don't call them Executive Sierra's they are just normal Sierra's. You will things about how the plating is better and other things like that but I have yet to see any real difference. You should just ask the wonderful timberbits i sure there will be a reason why they are so much dearer compared to the normal Sierra's

I prefer the exec Sierra for the decorative band and seems a better balanced pen somehow, and shiny I like shiny lol!

    Todd,

There are a few little differences between the two as mentioned above. The clips are also a slightly different shape. Regards to finishes there are options available but you do pay more for the supposedly better quality. I have used several of the different finishes over the last couple of years and no complaints on any at this stage so spend your money wisely

    Cheers
    Tony.

Why pay more for two pens essentially the same. Sierras are too expensive anyway. Watch this space
