Label Casting
Hey There,
A Combined effort, DJ Evans from Rockingham, did the casting and I turned and assembled, we have a few issues to sort out but the client, who put the idea in my head is rapt with the proto type. We tried with some sticky photo paper, and Dave tried anther type of label. We have a bit of R & D to do but we will get it sorted. Any comments welcome.

If you go to "www.thepenshop.net" one of the guys there were doing it several months back you may get some information there to help with R & D.
Cheers

Thanks Darren, I'll go and have a look,
Hey John, the labels are stuck unto the tube and then resin on top.

I HEARD THAT!!
heh heh .. mucking around is about right. I haven't been able to use my kitchen for the
last few weeks as there's always molds curing on the countertop or in the oven.
I got out of the prototype stage and into production (finally) but only for a few types of
pens so far. Hopefully I'll get more masters in the mail this afternoon and I can make
more types. So far I can do the Sierra/Elegant Beauty type, cigar pen/pencils and
the Jr Gent/Statesmans. Full gents and Baron masters are on the way.
Can't wait to be able to cook again..
Whatever you've been doing, it looks great. I know it looks simple in concept but can be
a bear to do without bubbles and leaks. And the labels? Some work with certain types
of resins better than others. Same for covering the label. Nail polish? White glue? CA?
