Laser Engraver
I invested in a Laser Engraver, and have started experimenting, this pen is going to be dismantled, American Flat top, made a real mess of the turning, so has to be made again, so used it for experimentation, Amos
The Sierra was one of the pens made from our German Shepherd's last stick before she passed away.

Oooh, now I have a tutor when I can finally afford a laser! I'd love to be able to sell enough of this box elder to get one. I may have to cut down that other tree to do it, though!
Nice gloat and great looking engraving. How'd you get the gold in there?"If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried." - Stephen Wright

I went out on a limb with this one, cost $2500, plus $96 freight, freight depends on the area you live in. I didn't dare tell my dear wife or family as they would have thought I was crazy, however a little hiccup occured and they found out! Did i cop a caning, no we are not rich, and the shop rent hangs in the balance, but i am working extra hard to try to balance the budget again. If you want to buy one, don't go through ebay, go through me, send me a PM. Attached is the photo. If you want something engraved just pay the postage and $5, I will try my best. Amos

I forgot to mention, I am trying to negotiate with the supplier to be their agent, I really do have Wood Turners in mind, and am trying for better prices, I did a phone around before I purchased and found that this particular machine is as good as machines that are going at around $5000, so as i said i went out on a limb and purchased one, I was impressed so have begun negotiating to be their agent. Karl, that is the way it came out, it is Huon Pine underneath, finished with Shellawax and one coat of CA, then I engraved and that is what it looked like, Amos

Agent for the Katana Laser Engraver
I am now an agent for the Katana Laser Engraver, it is the same one as seen on Ebay, except if you get it through myself I will pass on the saving of the Ebay fee that is factored in the price. Amos

Toni, price is $2500 plus freight ex Brisbane, freight can be 60 or 80 or 100 or more depending on location. If you get it through me I will try and pass on any savings from third party fees. Also, bear in mind, you would need a desk for it, also access to a computer with parallel port for the printer. It doesn't have to be a fancy computer, an old Pentium 3 would be good enough, also an older cheap laptop, I tried a laptop pentium 2-233 mhz! now that is pretty old, can get them for around 150. Also you need a bucket with water in it, or a container with a narrow top, the machine has air exhaust and water cooling of the laser tube. Amos
