At a guess I would say no. It only does flat surfaces, whereas an additional rotation axis is required

I had Grampians Furniture Laser engrave names on some slimline pens for me and that worked perfect and no rotation was required,
I watched it being done and the pen was stationary

Hi,
Neil is correct, engraving onto anything cylindrical requires a rotary to ensure no distortion and to provide consistency in the depth of the engraving. Engraving onto pens laying flat can be done however the text would need to be small in size. If larger images or text are engraved onto a pen the laser would burn down on the sides of the pen or any cylindrical shape making a mess of the item being engraved.
Cheers

Thanks for the input Guys,
The name idea was all I was thinking of.
Wasn't planning on using this small laser for big logo's that wrap around a pen.
Just for stuff maybe 5mm high up the side, a sword or a dragon or a name.
But for those of us that thinks its something relatively cheap to play with and get some experience with, hey.
I see they also have a 450 mW laser that also fits the unit.
