my first laser kit
since doing the market scene a go i decided to assemble a flame laser kit for a sierra
hmmm opened the container and all the bits fell out i thought this is gunna be fun
anyway read the instructions and it went together ok the instructions say that you can turn down to size or just sand ( if your chicken )
ok i decided im gunna take the latter approach then looked at how much had to be taken off , nearly a job for a 40 grit chisel so turn it i did carefully then finished with 20 coats of CA am so happy with this am going to get some more depending on sales and funds

Hehe ! so much fun it should be illegal lol. It took me about 2 hrs to put together the gear one as everything was in bits including the background ,but as a retired fitter and turner it appealed to me , Most of these kits seem to be softwoods so not too hard to work with, although the costs mean to be careful hehe. I find the piano keyboard kits do well ,but like anything the right person in the right place at the right time hehe, make sure you have some local timbers in your range as well even slims and streamlines , I try to have a selection of davids australiana in aussie woods ,contrasts with all the other kits hehe .
Cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!
