Default A segmented pen of a diffrent kind

I had a momentary lapse of reason the other day when working on a pen kit. Foe some reason I decided to play Black Sabbath Paranoid on 78 speed and backwards.............. then this fell off my lathe.
The kit is Penn State Crown Jewel in gold Crown Jewel 24kt Gold Twist Pen Kit at Penn State Industries
The wood is olive wood and the finish is 3 coats of spray lacquer.
And yes that is the brass tube showing between the segments. Tube was set in the blank with 30 minute epoxy .
    Will see how this goes

    Thanks Simplicity for looking in.
The olive wood is quite nice wood bought a bunch of the olive blanks from a company here
    https://www.bellforestproducts.com.
Not a viable source for you possibly but their web site has some great detail and specifics on all kinds of wood.
Olive turns OK kinda of narly but finishes well . Really smooth after some lacquer finish
    Thanks again for your time.

    Hey Ironwood
Thank you for looking in. Yes it is a little different and I am very interested to see if it attracts any real traction in the market place.
I actually do not start out with any specific idea of the finished pen form. Honestly the parts are small enough that if I totally screw up I can start over. I have only built 5 pens at this point but been screwing up good tree lumber for many years.
I did recently spoil a pen / tube assembly and did not have another tube to use. Actually recovered the tube ( epoxy set) by simply turning the wood blank away with a parting tool and sanding back to a smooth finish on the tube. In the back of my mind I think that action spawned the idea that created the segmented pen you see here. Kind of neat how mistakes can somehow work out better....... later .
    Thanks again for looking in.
