Default Want to learn basic pen turning. Sydney/Central Coast Area.

I'm interested in learning basic pen turning. I do not have a lathe or the appropriate tools involved. I would like to learn before investing in tools and machinery.

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to teach me to turn pens?

Ideally I want to be able to turn at least four pens before christmas as gifts.

In the past I had some experience on the lathe turning wood and metal, but I cannot remember very much.

I have four lengths of curly eucalyptus that are 42 x 19 x 405mm each which have had danish oil applied to them. I have a tin of sanding sealer and also a tin of danish oil.

I am 22 year old university student studying education. I'm based on the central coast, but I can easily get into sydney as well since I attend the Univeristy of Sydney. I'm on holidays until march so I am flexible with times. Starting from the 14th

I will pay generously for your tuition.

I could help you out. I go to UTS myself, and live in northern sydney (about half an hour away from UTS/Usyd). Send me a PM
