    Default Leather pen

Here's one made by Jim who is a leather worker. It came up pretty well I thought. His next effort will be another Slimline and a Sierra. Certainly different to the timber pens.

Never cease to marvel at the extended range of skill and material used in making pens, well done, Amos

Jim asked me to tell you that the plaiting of each section is actually a 39partX8bight turks_head knot with herringbone weave, topped with 7partX8bight spanish ring knot. Leather strand is 2mm by 0.5mm kangaroo. Needed about 4mtrs of lace and abt 4hrs of fiddling.

A lovely pen. I will post photos of the next ones he makes.

Ahh well back to the timber turning for me!!
