Looking for resources
If have not yet read the Pen Turners Workbook,by Barry Gross, then stop here and go get it. Even if you are an experienced pen maker, there are some amazing works of art here that I bet you never saw, I am looking for the parts or kits to make pens like these, mostly the one's by Gisi Brothers. Any help would be great,I did email them and have not heard from them yet, if I do I will post it.

Resources
Youve certainly set your sights High!! that is no bad thing. I personally think that all penturners need to start with simpler kits and shapes where the making of mistakes on the learning curve is frustrating without being expensive. You can also hone your finishing skills and try different materials at the lower end.
Read all you can here, get ideas here.
I think you will find the Gisi's make many of their own fittings. I have certainly never seen anything of thatkind of kit or fittings amongst my searching.
Best of luck and welcome to the frustration.

Thanks guy's for the info, I have been to Penn State's store many times and I have checked all the resources in the book, I have also turned nearly every pen kit from almost every dealer, the pen's I speak of are not any that I have ever seen in any catalog or web site, I think they are parts these guys get from non pen kit companys and are just thinking outside the box,boy I hate that expression.

I could be wrong but I think the gisi brothers might make most of there own components. Could be wrong though because there pens are so much fatter than the available one we see
Sorry can't help. If you do find where they get there kits from. I would like to learn that too.
bye

Boy I love this forum, where we can talk and share, I used to live in the southern part of NM very, very close to the mexican boarder ,I was only there for 2 years , before that I lived in New Jersey and worked in New York for 25 years, grew up in Boston and now live by the beach in Delaware, Gisi is amazing, I found they do make a lot of custom stuff and they buy at wholesale from large pen compan's and re-use parts also here is a link for custom bands for the center of the pen, here size does not matter , if the band is a little on the large size , simply make the tenon larger, scroll thru the site and you will find cool stuff. Gisi Pens.
Thanks for the links Justin and Dave.
I have admired Gisi work for a long time, you can see some of their work on The Penmakers Guild site.
Another good site for penturners is Stylophiles Online Magazine.
